This started in 2012. Only 3 Traveling Fellows from among the AOA countries are sent every 2 years on even-numbered years. They normally come from the AOA countries that have previously hosted (2) Australian and (1) NZ Traveling Fellow the previous year (odd-numbered years). They spend at least 10 days in Australia ending at the Australian OA Annual Scientific meeting in October. They then proceed to New Zealand for about 4-5 days to coincide with the NZOA Annual Congress.
